Happy New Year !
I hope this new year brings all of you good health – first and foremost. After that, all the rest of the blessings of a new year.
Resolutions – some people make them, some don’t. I personally, do not. However, I do take the time to review the year past and my hopes for the time ahead.
Most of my clients break resolutions – like changing so many other habits, maintaining the change is different. Yes, the new year seems like a fresh start, a “do over”, a turning of the page. My suggestion – let every day feel like that. Instead of overwhelming ourselves with a monumental resolution, set a goal every day. In the morning, take a minute while you are brushing your teeth or driving to work – whenever your “think time” is . Just ask yourself, “what do I want to do today that is consistent with where I want to be. What CAN I do today – if anything”?
Some days, we do the best that we can – one of my favorite quotes: “life is happens while you are planning”. So, start fresh tomorrow – it’s a new day.
