Creativity . . . it comes all all different forms. Art, sculpture, dance, writing, magic. . .
This weekend, I was gifted with an artist’s rendering of my cat, Puck. Drawn from a picture, it captured Puck’s personality and likeness. Most of all, it was drawn by a young artist that I am sure you will be hearing more about.
Artist Joseph Cannella (I call him “Joey”) – illustrator for the book, “Praying the Rosary” (see my prior blog about author Mary-Doyle Brodien at 3epress.com) – provided a moving portrait of my beloved Pet.
Okay, so I’m crazy about my cat who is filled with personality . . .nevertheless, this is one of the most cherished gifts I have received. Given to me by a friend who truly is more like a sister, created by a fabulous, bright, creative, and smart young man . . . what could be better.
Before I sell Joe short by describing cat renderings, let me assure you – his scope of talent, the ability to work in a variety of mediums including oils, is breathtaking. I have seen his portfolio. Whether a cat, an oil, a person, an interpretation … he’s the one you want.
